So do I. You think we're on the net with our parents? shite...some of these kids who post weren't born until 15 years later.

I could have put in the Challenger, Ollie North, Geraldo getting his nose broke, and some Exxon Valdez. But let's not go too far back.

Most of those are not "Where were you when" type events. Where was I when Clinton talked about Lewinsky, McGuire broke 61, OJ chase, images of Katrina and TV showing bombs dropped? I guess in front of the damned TV.

At Fort Lee, we were on our way to the field for 3 weeks. They stopped us at the back gate and told us to turn back, that an attack just happened. We ran 2 miles / full packs back as fast as we could to get in front of a tv. Couldve heard a pin drop as they showed the planes hitting the towers. Not long after, the first tower fell.

Oj chase - I don't remember watching this live but I remember the verdict well.

I was in the 11th grade and some black kids were dancing on the tables in the cafeteria. I had just switched schools and had only gone to an all white private school previously and I thinking "wtf is going on"

I'm 41, my main things i remember on tv were the Johnny Carson show, the OJ chase, the Reginald Denny beating / LA riots video, the WTC bombing and Trump wining.

You were in front of the TV for all of them you putz. But WHERE? For instance 9/11...I was at Union theatre at LSU. Sure, it was a TV...not like I saw it on a smartphone.

I remember walking by my parents bedroom and they cut to the at bat. I stepped in the bedroom and watched it with my dad. I was 12. Weird how that stuff sticks in your memory.

I was not quite 4 years old and my dad got me out of bed at 6am and sat me in front of the TV. He told me to pay attention because men were walking on the moon.

Yeah, it was a big deal. But I was 4. I probably assumed this was something people did all the time. And then I had some cereal.

1994: OJ Simpson chase - At a bar in midcity NOLA.

2001: 9/11 - Pleasanton, CA, and I was stuck there all week because they shut the airports down. I got to tour around northern CA on company money.

2005: 1st images of Katrina - my parents’ couch in Baton Rouge, having evacuated from Slidell.

2008: Obama is declared president - drunk on tequila at home in GA.

Bonus: For the Reagan shooting I didn’t see the video footage until much later, but I heard about it in 8th grade social studies.

5th grade. Where I'm at is the main divide for Cubs/Cardinals (not too many Sox fans in this area of IL) and I myself am a Cardinals fan. My teacher was a HUGE Cardinals fan too. We would watch games in the classroom if they were on and had stuff all over the classroom with the HR chase.

I didn't mention 9/11, that's different than most of those events. Ask about Reagan getting shot and the Challenger disaster. People remember that. Lewinsky? Who gives a shite. Bombs dropping? We did that routinely after the first Gulf War.
