I know it was past my bedtime on a Saturday night. The rest is unclear.

No one remembers that in the month or so leading up to the shooting of John Lennon, SNL's Charles Rocket did a series of filmed bits where he staked out Lennon's Dakota apt bldg trying to spot him.

Could it have inspired a real life stalker?

Because Buckwheat would’ve wanted it that way.

To this day I don't support the lone gunman theory. The idea Alfalfa was completely innocent - or at a minimum didn't know something beforehand- seems implausible. We may never know the truth.

I honestly pity poor fools like you who will never know how good life was in the 80s. Bless your heart.

I remember back in the 80s they had these t-shirts with a buckwheat cartoon character on them... I think they would be considered racist today.

No shite. That was some straight up good comedy Eddie Murphy made at a time when the primary concern was, "did people laugh", followed only by, "was it clever". Dumb, crude comedy came later, when new cable formats allowed for bad language on TV. No smug virtue signaling broken logic hipsters trying very hard to convince you it's funny, with an audience who's afraid to laugh at anything else.

On the flip side, I'm not an old fricking man and knocking on death's door.

Congrats on your enlarged prostate though.
