I am running late (wife pregnant w/our soon to be 20yo) to my downtown Hou job in big earl. Get to my 43rd floor of Houston skyscraper office to find pile of people piled up in office adjacent to mine watching the news.

Fast forward, sent my folks home, followed them, watched tower 1 fall while waiting for cab (no Uber/Lift) at nearby hotel that will forever be where I watched tower 1 fall...to me. Stayed there many time since...and that is what it now means to me.

Among all the things that touch most Americans, the #1 thing i think about are the now 20-21 yos who never met their parents who perished that day. Means extra to me that our 1st child was born couple months later. May they RIP. May the young adults find peace. May the culprits rot in hell or worse, please.

Sleeping in my vehicle before some geography class

Listening to Walton & Johnson of all things. Woke up to a news brief of some sort, but didn't pay attention and went to class. Didn't know until 2 hours later what happened, no one in the class made mention of it.

2nd grade classroom. I remember the teacher telling us that something bad happened but ensuring us that no one was going to be attacking our school.

Early morning, middle school math class.

School didn't have many working TVs, so I didn't see much footage until I got home that day.

Distinctly remember every cable channel on TV airing the news feed from the parent company. Nickelodeon and MTV showed CBS. Disney Channel showed ABC news. And TBS and TNT showed CNN.

LSU Finance - Business Law. Teacher even gave a pop quiz that morning.

Next class was Econ something or another. The teacher was Turkish and made some smart arse comment about us getting to see what happens when our economy is thrown into turmoil.

Had some chicken tenders with honey mustard at Calendars that evening. That part was alright.

In the third week of my training class at the company I still work for. I remember someone rushing in crying that we had been attacked and us rushing to the TV in the break room.

Convinced my dad to let me stay home in 3rd grade to watch cartoons. I couldn't understand why every sports and news channel was showing the coverage. The gravity of the situation didn't register at all as an 8 year old.

I think Nick Jr and Cartoon Network were the only channels without coverage of what was happening

I was at work and someone came into my office and said did you hear about that plane that hit the WTC? I assumed it was a small prop job, not an airliner. Another hit and everyone knew there was no way in hell it was an accident.
We gathered in the boss’ office because he had cable.

When I first heard something was going on I was in the shower getting ready for work. I had the radio on and they were talking about a plane had hit one of the towers. They didn’t know what type or much past that a plane had hit one tower. At that time they thought it was an accident. I got out of the shower and turned on the tv to see what they were saying. They were showing a live shot of the twin towers and then the second plane hit.

At work. The news was on and said that a plane hit the twin towers. I was busy and thought that maybe it was a Cessna.I happened to be watching live when the second plane hit. No words describe the despair that I felt at that moment.
