I love how we met and ended up sticking together because I always said before how much I hated these things.
We were set up by a friend. I always hated being set up because the friendship would be a bit awkward when it didn't work out. We met for drinks as a double date. We then went to a movie the next night (Slumdog Millionaire). I hated going to the movies for a first date but agreed because I just wanted to see him again. I knew there was something incredibly special about a month into the relationship. We've been together a total of 6 years now, married for 2.

Ralph & Kacoos. 1991. Knew she was the one a couple months later when she agreed to come to an LSU baseball game with me. Had a great time. Much married bliss and 3 kids later we talk about this often and both agree that this is when we both knew.

First date was a wedding. I knew he was the one when a situation happened very early on that almost made it so we would likely never be able to see each other again. That fell through thankfully, but the feeling I felt when it was happening was not normal for me. I actually cared lol.

Went to see Otis Day and the Knights (toga party) at the PMAC. Had a pretty good idea that she might be the one that night.

My wife is my best friends older sister. Never met her growing up. Met her one day when I was 23 or so and literally as soon as I saw her I knew she was the one.
