I don't know if it's still the case, but PSA pretty much suspended grading cards due to backlog. Some of the other services are still grading, but PSA is the gold standard.

Did they really? It seems like all valuable cards I have seen sell were all graded. Of course I don't know when they were graded and I will be honest I never paid attention, but that's pretty insane that they have that much of a backlog.

It seems like NFTs are becoming the thing now in terms of collecting. On Draftkings they have a marketplace now that launches so many NFTs of certain players and last week was the first launch.. It was 6 different Tom Brady NFTs. Each one being more valuable because less were available.

Everything below the $200 tier subs are suspended. Bulk submissions aren't opening back up anytime soon

Used to love going to card shows. In the 80's & 90's. I had three different friends who also liked to go. Most of the good ones in the DFW area were in Arlington, because of the Rangers. One big one, every year, was part of the Rangers Winter Carnival. They always had former Rangers signing autographs for free there too. Went to one Starting Lineup figure show in Plano that was awesome. Was able to get Leonard Marshall, Carlos Carson, Dalton Hilliard and Eric Martin SL figures there that day. Went with two serious collectors. They were chewing me out for paying at least $20 bucks for each of them, but they weren't LSU fans. They collected them because they made money buying and selling them.

I just wanted my guys!

TchoupitoulasTiger great cards, I have all those actually. My older brother began collecting in the late 40s and I inherited his collection when he moved on to automobiles and girls. Continued on through the 50s and rather than buying them over and over by the pack, I began in the late 60s buying complete sets. I looked the other day in in 1971 I paid some seller out of NY City $10 for a complete set.

After I got to making money, I went back and bought whatever cards we'd missed out on and completed almost every set from around 1953 forward with few exceptions.

The problem we ran into back then, we'd buy cards all damn summer. By August, grocery and drug store quit buying them and we rarely got anything from the 7th series. So I had to pay premium for a lot of those.

I keep them all in gun safes at a remote fire proof off sight and will let my grandsons fight over them one day.
