I came across a box of baseball cards and want to take a few of them to get an honest appraisal of their condition and worth. Anyone know of a good place. Thanks

What kind of cards are we talking about? Like 1990s or old school from the 50s-60s?

Anthony Ranaudo has a new shop in Perkins Rowe. I believe it’s called Cards and Culture.

Cards are worth their value only of they are graded. Of course if you have a card that is valuable you can sell it, but you will not get the true value unless its graded.

Since the value can change significantly between grades anyone who will want to buy it is not going to take the risk of assuming its one grade when all it takes is it to be graded lower than they assume, which hurts its value and as a result they lose money.

With that said, I think there is one on Sherwood.. if its still open.. I just know close to Sherwood and Airline.

There’s a place on Acadian just north of the interstate. Can’t remember the name though.

What are some of the cherry picks?

Like comic books, quality and shape its in are important.

So pictures if you have any, we may have posters here that can save you a trip or at least give an idea

You can take them to Louisiana’s Double Play on Sherwood. The owner Robert will give you an honest assessment of what you have and how much they may be worth. He is really good at grading stuff

Price them out online. eBay would be a good place to start. A business needs to make a profit off of what they pay you.

eBay, you look at the card you have then search for it under sold listings. You can see what people are willing to pay for the card and when it sold.

What are the cards? 70’s and newer or pre-1970?

I can give a good idea if you have anything

You’ll be better off using ebay sold listings instead. Card shop guys will give you 30-50% of their value.
