I have a simple white gold wedding ring (still married) that I paid $12.95 for the set at United Wholesale Jewelers in Shreveport in 1960. Was at a jewelry store recently and asked the Jeweler what the ring was worth. Estimated about $900. In 1960 gold price was still fixed at $35 per ounce.
