Not really Cajun, but when I was there I met a bartender named Coffee who was like 5’11” and so hot. A little bit of cream in the coffee but very exotic. Aside from the Abita I don’t recall a Cajun menu for the most part.

Saw a Cajun restaurant in a mall in Cancun, Mexico. What the frick?
This is how I felt almost everyday for the almost two decades when I lived in Louisiana and tried to eat something non-Cajun every once in a while. How do you call that Italian, or pizza, or Indian, or Mexican, or Thai, or a cheese steak/hogie/sub?
Louisiana at the time had good food of the variety you couldn’t find anywhere else in the country but the food that wasn’t unique to that region was about the worst you can find anywhere in the country. It’s why any metropolitan area was quickly overrun with mass produced chains.

One time in the Minneapolis airport, there was a “cajun restaurant”. Asian folks ran it.
They used pan fried rice for their jambalaya and when i said that’s not correct or how jambalaya is made, they told me i was wrong.
I showed them my drivers license and said, I’m not sure if you understand this but I’m from where jambalaya comes from and you don’t use pan fried
Rice and then they still told me i was wrong.
I chuckled
Glad you took the time to tell him all of that. I am sure he closed down for a few days to reinvent his menu.
Dude is trying to make money, he don't give a frick if its authentic.

I think you're talking out the side of your neck. What two decades did you live here? 1910-1930? Italian? Really?
Pizza? Come on man.

Most are people that moved away from Louisiana and think they can cook....unfortunately, most are mistaken about that
This. But to be fair it seems like the real key to Cajun cooking is to let some other poor bastard do it. You show up with a few beers, eat, and then leave without having to clean up either

There is/was a Louisiana Kitchen in Omaha a couple years ago and it was terrible.

Springs Orleans main cook is an Alabama grad/fan. The other “Cajun” spot in town the guy claimed Houma until I pushed him on it, turns out his gramma was from Houma. Think he grew up in NO, food is terrible.

In 2000 there was a Louisiana-themed Restaurant in downtown Heidelberg, Germany.
Had wrought iron about it’s sidewalk cafe.
Mediocre food, lotsa pepper & hot sauce.
Slight deviation:
In the Osaka main train station there was a Cafe du Monde knockoff Coffee shop.
No beignets only crappy doughnuts and pastries and crappier coffee.
Signage and logos on their napkins, cups, and paper bags exactly like Cafe du Monde though.

Edmond, OK
Brent’s
Pretty solid IMO. Owner has Louisiana ties but not sure exactly what part.

The Griffins(as I recall) from around Lafitte started them. I was in Pagosa Springs and the owner asked me to try samples of their food. Not good in my opinion. The fried catfish was as good as at home.
