Where is all the butter?

Went to the grocery store today and noticed all the butter was sold out? Is it not being restocked or is some weird run on butter happening? How am I supposed to peel my crawfish? This is terrible.

I tried to order groceries this morning but they were out of half of the list my wife gave me. I scrapped the order and picked up restaurant food instead. There's no point in buying half of the ingredients we need.

Hit up a farm. Only half kidding. I bought a half pig and cow, so am loaded up. There was a ton of milk Cree and butter.

Did they have cream? If so, get some and put it in a food processor and it will whip it into butter.

Use oil for a dark roux and butter for a light roux or sauce base. The oil has a higher smoke point.
