Where in Baton Rouge are places like these?

In Houston there’s Hermann Park, Miller Outdoor Theater, memorial Park, Allen Parkway/Buffalo Bayou Hike and Bike trails, places downtown and in the heights where people can walk freely any time of day or night and enjoy the city.
In Austin there’s Auditorium Shores, Zilker Park, South Congress, downtown, Barton Springs where people can walk freely day or night.
In Little Rock there’s the Rivermarket with restaurants, bars, amphitheater where people can walk freely day or night.
Where do places like this exist in Baton Rouge?

There are more people in the Houston metro than the entire state of Louisiana. Of course it will have things that BR doesn't.

I was on board until you mentioned Little Rock. Isn’t LR one of the worst cities for crime? Right up there with Memphis & Nola

BR doesn’t have fancy high-tech things like parks.

Other states have less corrupt politicians that spend more of the tax dollars on infrastructure projects rather than entitlement programs.

Another ignorant poster who has never enjoyed the Cortana Greenbelt .

bullshite. Go even 2 blocks away from the main drag and it’s shady as shite at night.
Downtown BR is much, much safer than Little Rock outside of the Chenal and the University area.

Downtown BR has a bike trail on the levee that runs quite a ways.
Perkins Rowe has shopping, dining, live music
BR City Park and the LSU lake area is super nice, with dog park, museum, etc
Downtown is also booming with things you listed, including theaters, shops, restaurants.
The biggest problem with BR is the lack of bike routes.
There are some old neighborhoods in BR that are as beautiful to walk/bike through as some of the neighborhoods in NO and other southern cities.

Louisiana is full of inward pride because there is nothing else to boast about.

In Katy, it was so refreshing to see so many nice parks and well-maintained playgrounds, and they aren’t junked up. There’s even a free indoor pool open year round that isn’t gross. Can’t have nice things like that in Louisiana.

I’ve been to to the Rivermarket in LR. Its like a crappy version of perkins rowe if perkins rowe was downtown.

In all seriousness, I use my Neighborhood BREC Park almost every day. It’s very, very nice and very well- maintained. It’s a huge quality of life thing for me.
