If anybody tells my future kids about Disney I'm whooping their arses.

Hunting trips, beach trips, skiing, mountains, fishing, etc is the plan.

Kids are 8 and 13, so they're into theme parks, riding go-karts, etc.

I just told my wife we’re not hitting up one more theme park or resort ever again. Too much damn walking, waiting around, and too many got damn people everywhere

This year- 12 days in Colorado/Wyoming, Rocky Mountain National Park, Yellowstone/Grand Teton, with various stops along the Oregon trail.

Flights, nice hotels, meals out, etc for this trip out west are still cheaper than 7 days at Disney that we did last year at the end of Sept last year in 90° heat.

Why do people go to Disney when there's far better places to spend your time and money?

I talked to a buddy and he is taking his family (wife and three kids and the daughter's BF) to Italy for a couple of weeks... He was bitching about how much it is going to cost... They go to the good to best restaurants a few times during the trip... Does $15,000 on food sound ridiculous? All the kids are drinking age...

Yeah, this is sort of your opinion. Why do you care if people enjoy Disney Parks?

I don't care if people burn their houses down, slash their wrists, or jump off cliffs either. That doesn't make any of those decisions good ones .

As much as I detest how Disney has been run as a whole, and particularly in relation to the programming they've been offering of late, I can't think of any normal person who has been to Disney World and/or any of the several parks there, who has not thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, it's expensive as hell and probably (if not certainly) overpriced, but if you have kids and can cut back on eating out or ordering Door Dash for a little while to save up for a single, week-long big event vacation, Disney World would be well worth it.

I completely agree. Put your political beliefs aside for just a minute. Every kid deserves a chance to go to Disney once…

My son likes trips in the travel trailer. We'll probably hit Camp Margaritaville in Crystal Beach, then Stillwater RV Resort near Tyler on the way back. Little fricker is currently on an Alaskan cruise with his mother, so don't feel bad for him.

Not to beat the Disney horse any further... Disney was created as a space for people to go see places they couldn't see easily. Countries around the world at Epcot, Wilderness Lodge (modeled after Yellowstone Lodge), European village at Magic Kingdom, etc.

Now it's actually cheaper to visit those places in person than to spend a week at Disney.
