Trilby, whatever, close enough. I was trying not to bias the thread right out of the gate by showing real hipster doofuses in fedoras. Timberlake in a trilby was close enough.

The problem isn't the hats today. The problem is the "men" wearing them today. There's too much Soy in the Boy these days. Back in the day, by the time you were in your mid-twenties, men looked rough-ish. Not anymore. Our lives are softer, our diets are fatter (and yes, filled with Soy). Men just ain't what they used to be. Anything masculine looks silly on young men today, at least for the most part. There are some exceptions, and of course there are your rough-edged biker types and such. But they don't wear fedoras.

I'm sorry you're having trouble finding guys you're into these days. There's gotta be some kind of filter you can use when you're searching on grindr.

I gaurantee you that the men who were rugged looking back in the day would trade their extremely hard, difficult life that gave them those features for the comfortable life we have today.
You sit there, on your computer, making the claim above, while probably having a clean shaven face or a manicured beard, slightly over weight (at the least. probably twenty to thirty pounds overweight) and ridiculously believe that you have more in common with the men of old than the "soy boys" you are making fun of.
