This morning, because they didn't want the 3% service fee and they were planning on passing it on to me. Last time was 2022. I belong to a few organizations and if the leadership is younger 55 they take electronic paymnets, older just checks.

What year is it? Who pays for groceries with a check?

Today. Our yard crew comes by every other Wednesday to mow the lawn and take care of the shrubbery. I leave them a check on the front porch under a flower pot.

Walmart this morning. Tired of paying CC fees and other add on's. Easier for me to keep track on balance anyway. Fixed income, retired.

Once a week at the massage parlor. They prefer cash, but will take a check.

Last week to a roofing company. That was the first check I've written in a year or so.

Usually about 10 a year for state and fed quarterly taxes and a couple for final settlement.

8 for property taxes and usually 5-6 for contractors to do work.

Maid takes a check, so twice a month. Used to be Venmo until the IRS got involved there.

She doesn't speak English very well and no, I have no idea if she's a legal resident in our country

I pay my utilities by check. I'm not having someone double dipping out of my account by giving them a account number.
