I mean, if suggesting that your course of action wasn't very logical or well-thought out, then yes, I'll be your favorite. The son more than likely needs medical care and therapy. Traumatic stress can change the brain chemistry, especially if the son is in his early 20's. I see it everyday with patients. Your talk about God not being immanent didn't do very much good.

What's the deal with God? You have a stepson who lost his girlfriend. Are you upset because your wife is telling him to have faith in God?
Look, my religious views have changed a lot from when I was 17 years old to now that I am 39. You have to look at it from someone the same age as your stepson you fricking loser.
You don't have to share the same views, but have some respect for your wife and help the kid in this troubled time. I will be completely honest, I could handle something like that now a lot different than I would have at 17. It would have probably absolutely crushed me.
If you are 100% serious about this do you, your wife and her son a favor and leave. You are worthless.
