Man, I used to be a sucker for that Priazzo thing they used to make back in the day when you had to go there to eat and they had waiters and waitresses that would take your order and they had the type of video game you sit down at and everything was made fresh. They'd even make dough in house. You could see the giant dough mixer in the kitchen through the passthrough.
The Priazzo wasn't a true Chicago deep dish pizza, but it was down that road. It had a thin bottom crust, then a shitload of pork products and cheese in the middle, then another crust on top, then more cheese and sauce on top. It was fricking delicious, but it was a total disaster of a product because it took forever to build and would back up the kitchen then it took like an hour to bake due to the never ending mounds of meat and cheese and nobody wanted to just sit in a restaurant waiting that long for their food.
Pizza Hut today is NOT what it used to be. It was a vastly better product when they were still a dine-in restaurant chain before they had to skew hard to delivery and carryout to keep up with Domino's and had to sacrifice quality to keep up with volume.
EDIT: LOOK AT THIS GLORY!

Still better than Papa Johns.
It's hard for me to say that it was ever good. I think I was just a kid and didn't know better.

I don’t know if I was ever really “good”.
But I used to wake up on Sundays severely hungover around 11:30, shift to the couch, order Pizza Hut and a 2 liter and watch Football all day.
It seemed glorious at the time.

Seems glorious when you're doing it. But you don't want to go back there.

During my Pizza Era - LSU late '80s - Gatti's was #1 and godfathers' upstairs was #2. PH was a distant third, if that.
I mostly recall PH for the time some friends and I went to the one near LSU and watched some people run out on their bill. They were of medium height, medium complexion, were wearing clothing and had hair.

Back in the 80s and 90s it was great. I worked at the one at George O’Neal in HS and during college. Everything was made fresh. Then, they decided to sacrifice quality for the almighty dollar and switched to frozen dough disks and it all turned to shite.
Actually one of the best pizzas I ever ate was at Pizza Hut - it was called the Smokehouse pizza and had pepper ham, smoked sausage, bacon, and other smoked meats on it. It was incredible, but was eventually discontinued.

When I was 15 and the one on Airline Hwy bear Plank would serve my buddy and I pitchers of beer. Just two high school freshmen... hanging out at the local Pizza Hut... sharing a couple pitchers of Miller High Life... shooting the shite. (No idea about the food. We never ate there)

Don't you know... Lafayette seems to be the strong hold for everything....and all on pinhook. The pizzahut on pinhook is a buffet for lunch. Also, the Popeyes on pinhook is a buffet. If you want to love the true fatass dream, visit pi hook in Lafayette

In the 90s they used to have a pizza called the big New Yorker. That was a very tasty pizza.

I can remember going to the one on Ryan St in Lake Charles and sitting down and having a waiter.
They also had the sit down pac man video games.

Doesn’t Pepsi own Pizza Hut?
Everting they get involved with turns to shite.
Only delivery type pizza my kids will eat is Jets. I’m not sure if that’s a national brand or not.
We mostly go to locally owned gourmet type pizza parlors.
