So she did it herself and didn't make you do it? Consider that a win and STFU.

I'm a very happy and content person with a great life. I just hate the over-commercialization that Christmas has become. And I'm not religious, so I really don't care if Christ was born on that day or not.

This is the correct answer.

Day after Thanksgiving at my house is the earliest Christmas stuff goes up. I have fall harvest decorations that went up the day after Halloween out currently.

I usually put Fall stuff out Labor Day weekend. I get specific with pumpkins and stuff for Halloween but the pumpkins will stay out until Turkey Day. Christmas stuff goes out the weekend after Thanksgiving if I stay home and don't travel back home.

We started putting stuff up early this year because we will be in Louisiana for all of Thanksgiving week and the weekend after.

When I did my lights to music display, I had to start putting it up right after Halloween to have it going by the weekend after Thanksgiving. So glad I don't do that shite anymore.

I'll usually do ours over Thanksgiving break. May be the day before or a day or too after. I refuse to do it that close to Halloween.

Depends on why you celebrate Christmas.

Presents and food - anytime you want
Jesus - day after Thanksgiving (need to let gratitude take hold on THANKSgiving.

For us, it's always the Fourth Sunday
in Advent. Later sometimes but not earlier. They come down on Epiphany. I guess technically Christmas season starts on Christmas day but the alter colors don't change from Advent purple to Christmas white until Christmas Day and doesn't change again (to green) until something like the Fifth Sunday after Epiphany-so-I guess I could leave lights and decorations until then. Point being Christmas starts later and lasts longer than most of us realize.
