Is that not how killers like the ones at Columbine were enabled?

In Pearl, MS and in Columbine, the problem was an environment absent of parental presence and guidance, so the kids were doing things the parents didn’t know about for a long time before the mass shootings.

The Minnesota LT is advising parents to provide awful parenting.

I would be incredibly curious to know why he was feeling that or why he thought that. I definitely wouldn't start the conversation by telling him that what he's feeling isn't valid. I've never felt it, so how could I know?

How about be “curious” who the frick told him about how a woman feels.

My 2 yr old made the siren noise of a fire truck and then said he was a fire truck. I guess instead of food that night I should have forced diesel fuel down his throat.

So if they say they believe are the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ, we should just start worshipping them?

Or if they say they believe they were supposed to be born with only one arm, we should put them through a surgery to cut the other off?

What in the literal frick.

This person is insane. Can we also use some real language? The Lt. Governor of any state using the phrase "grown ups" is fricking pathetic.

Teaching them who they are doesn’t mean the same as what you said.

No, you don’t teach a kid WHO they are because quite frankly most people don’t know WHO they are until they’re 25 years old or even older. Your job is to instill principles, values, knowledge, strength, and resilience into your child. It’s up to your kid to discover who they actually are.

quote:

Maybe I can phrase it better, but I mean teaching them what it is to be strong man/woman. Teaching them right from wrong. Teaching them that God made us in his own imagine and likeness and that we’re not merely body but also spirit. And with that they a duty to God, parents, friends, and society. Teaching them that freedom doesn’t mean they can do whatever they want, but doing what they ought to do. Teaching them who they are means teaching them who they belong to: God

Yes, this is more values rather than a WHO. You can be many different types of people and still hold the same values.

My brother insisted he was a dolphin when he was a toddler.

Now imagine that, if he'd had unmonitored internet access, there were lots of communities out there that would encourage him to explore his dolphin self and talk a lot about the rights of dolphin-identifying kids. And hollywood and the music industry promoted dolphin people as being cool. And at school there's a teacher with a bunch of dolphin people flags (and maybe a secret child-porn collection, but hey, who's counting) and says it's good not to tell your parents because they wouldn't get it. And it turns out lots of dolphin people drown or are miserable trying to be dolphins or even try to kill human-people, but anyone who studies or reports on that gets attacked and suppressed.

But sure, let kids be who "they are." It's not like anyone besides their parents is trying to influence them.

Why does 90% of this thread have the same talking point about being an inanimate object?

It's very strange.

She’s a paid Zionist provocateur. A force for the destruction of white western culture. She honestly should be strung up on the nearest light pole.

This just came across my feed. Yeah, it’s girls like this we should try to save. The trans movement as it currently is is inherently homophobic, sexist, and ableist (most “trans kids” are autistic as well). Actual homophobes want these kids to butcher and sterilize themselves as punishment for daring to be attracted to the same sex and think they deserve it.

My kids can have whatever opinion they want once they turn 18, move out, and financially support themselves. Until I’m no longer legally/financially responsible for them or their actions, we play by my rules.

Best they learn how real life works early.

I have never met a trans person in my life. It didn't used to be a thing at all. Now something like 25% of kids identify as trans. It is pure indoctrination from the media and Democrats.

Democrats deserve to lose all power for the next 50 years because of this shite. They have unabashedly set forth on a course that denies the most fundamental truths of human nature. It's a putrid turn of events that one of our two major parties has become this.

Yeah, if I had told my Dad I was trans his response would have been "I don't care what you are as long as you're behind that hay bailer in the morning".

That lets the parents off too easy. They knew their kids were acting and dressing in a gruesome way. Teachers gave A's to assignments including one from Harris where he wrote a Doom-based story. Harris's teacher said: "Yours is a unique approach and your writing works in a gruesome way — good details and mood setting."

The parents were not parenting; that’s not letting them off easy.

Example: one of the kids in Pearl set the family dog on fire. I’m sure the parent in that case knew the dog was missing, but not that her son was that far gone.

It’s willful neglect that resulted in awfulness.

It should come as no surprise that MN would pick this emotional wreck to be their Lt Governor.

They are quickly rolling downhill.....
