I’m pretty sure it’s regional for either FedEx or UPS when it comes to customer service.

Trying to keep up with the competition. When all of the other shipping companies are constantly cutting corners and are able to get away with substandard service, why should UPS bust their arse to continue to be the best?

UPS is solid in my area. FedEx is a close second and the USPS falls further behind by the day.

Fedex > USPS > UPS in my area.

Fedex is pretty top notch, usps sucks as i have gone weeks without mail a few times and also they won't pick up mail unless they are dropping something off. i've seen the USPS guy look at my outgoing mail and walk right by through my yard.

UPS just never arrives on time and has delivered to the wrong directional version of my street numerous times as well as my same street number but the wrong street itself (i.e. I live on 1234 N 17th and they deliver to 1234 S 17th or 1234 N 15th, etc.) It's to the point where i am shocked when they arrive the day of because that's happened less than the opposite.

USPS is the worst. There's nothing worse than ordering something illegal and have USPS show it's been delivered when it hasn't.

I don't know what you are complaining about.

We received a lovely Christmas ornament from a family member, just a couple weeks ago. USPS just took very extra care to deliver something she mailed to us after Thanksgiving 2020.

We get so much mail not addressed to us, I wonder what other people are receiving of ours? We pretty much don't get much actual mail, though, almost everything is paperless. We have lived in this house now for 6 years, and still get mail for the previous owner. For a few years, I'd put it back in the mailbox with a note to forward it, but now... I just tear it up and trash it. I'm not in the mail forwarding business.

USPS gave up years ago.

Sometimes I get packages I forgot I ordered.

All of the carriers, ups, fedex, and usps are hit/miss depending on where you are. Where I am at, all three are really great at getting packages here faster than what is stated. I have had bad experiences with all of them depending where I was living or where I was shipping something to.

The worst experience I had was with ups though. Years ago when I was transferring to ULL from out of state at the last minute and needed to overnight my transcript to the admissions office. The package returned to the college it was sent from about two weeks later stating that the delivery location did not exist. The lady who was helping me at the local college felt bad for me and paid for it to be overnighted again out of her own pocket through fedex and it showed up the next day.
I was almost too late to complete enrollment because of that and because of convincing the people at ULL to accept an emailed copy temporarily. What fricking idiot at UPS was running a route in Lafayette and said that the location of the university didn't exist. Even if an address was wrong, it said University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the delivery details. Drop it at any desk with any person and it would have got to the right person eventually.... Instead... Nope, location doesn't exist. Wtf

Yep, I've been in mine since 2013. I still get mail for the family that lived there before the family that was there when we bought it.

I used to try and get it forwarded to wherever it need to go because it was stuff from the local elementary school about their kid. shite goes straight to the trash now.

short time ago (last few years) a female CEO was appointed. She did not start at the bottom as others before her. All she looks at is the bottom line.

Same. I think the big cities are just overloaded. I live in the burbs and have no issues

Yep. The American way. All that matters is stock price. Why invest in the future and provide a superior service when it might get you canned instead of cutting everything to the bone and having profits increase to show at the next quarterly reports

UPS is much better than FedEx

If you have a shipment that’s sent in multiple boxes never expect to get them on the same day. UPS does a good job of keeping multiple boxes together but it’s an every time thing with FedEx.

Fedex is the absolute worst.

I wish DHL was the primary privatized shipper in the country tbh. Everyone else is garbo.

s it because of Covid? I mean they're dead worthless now, I wish fedex had a little more coverage.

FedEx is not any better, why people continue to suck them off here makes no sense to me, Last 2 packages with 2 day shipping, neither arrived before 5 days, they also don’t deliver on the weekends, here at least.

It was happening before Covid, in my experience.

I would order ammo online; you know, the "HEAVY" box.
My deliveries started getting later and later, after 9pm wasn't unheard of. Once it was after 10pm, on a Tuesday. And the irritating thing was that with the UPS "track your delivery" map, that fricker was in my neighborhood around noon... but then he'd leave and go all over the area before returning. He just didn't want to pick the boxes up.

Was a couple of times they tried to say I wasn't home, and it would be delivered to some "pickup center" dive joint. This was some ratty cellphone/tobacco joint on the side of a gas station. I had to call and complain that
1) I was off work and home, and was waiting for the delivery, and
2) I don't want my packages dropped off somewhere else. Leave it at my door or return to sender.
