People who never really dress nice think of it as uncomfortable, prob bc their brain automatically associates nice attire as a tie...which is not the point. Like stated many pages back, even just a collared shirt like a polo is decent. There is nothing uncomfortable about a polo.

why don't you post what you are wearing right now?

It isn't about looking down on other people. I don't judge someone for not dressing a certain way to church (unless it is something outrageous), it is more about how I like to present myself.
Same thing with a wedding. I don't care what type of wedding it is, I am going to at least wear a tie (more times than not, with a coat). There will be some people who wear jeans, some who dress more business casual, etc. I don't really care, but I have a certain way I dress.

Oh man, I just started a job where it's business casual, and I'm learning, especially with shoes, there is always a comfortable option.
Most definitely! I have three pairs of shoes with insoles in them that make my feet feel like they are on clouds.

Really not what I took from your initial comment, but all right

Fitted Ann Taylor pencil skirt and light purple top from Banana Republic. I find that dressing nice makes me feel confident and empowered. When a man wears a nice suit, I am sure he feels the same way. It's been proven that attire can affect your mood or mental state. It's not necessarily about being a snob or high maintenance as a couple posters here were trying to argue. It's just that dressing better than sloppy is better.

Lol. The fact that I was downvoted at all is hilarious. Did I use too big of words for a couple of you?

Just curious, what do you think of the way most of the people dress for an LSU football or baseball game? Do people get a pass for dressing in LSU T-Shirts and Fishing shirts that are untucked, shorts (cargo or otherwise), etc. or would you consider them not caring how they look?
Trashy.
Wear jeans or khakis and a polo or button down

He didn't say anything about shorts.
I go with golf shorts and a white Nike dri fit LSU polo for the hot games.

Yeah if I am looking at a group of guys tailgating together, and all of them have on some variety of a polo/button down and then there is that one JoeSchmoe sporting a tee, I will wonder why he missed the memo. And it works both ways with women too, if a group of girls are all dressed cute in their purple/gold tops with jeans or a skirt and then Random Kathy joins them and is wearing her big ole LSU tshirt and nike shorts, pretty sure everyone would be like "Damn, what happened to her last night?"
