I think that is precisely the point of this thread. We agree that whatever we sleep in is our de facto most comfortable clothes. Wearing those clothes to run errands would be awesome, and the only reason many of us don't is because we're worried about how people will perceive that outfit. There are obviously quite a few people that simply don't care and will wear sleep attire in public, and to be honest, I'm a bit jealous of that freedom.

It depends on where you go to church. The church I attend would never frown upon anyone who wears jeans, fishing shirt, t-shirt, shorts and tennis shoes. Matter of fact, most Sunday's I wear shorts unless I'm greeting or singing on the worship team and will wear jeans.

When did I agree to that? I think i've stated a few times, I wear certain clothes for certain occasions and named a few.

I can't find fault in that. People are different. We all have preferences in clothes, cars, social groups, etc.

It's just a baptist church in the panhandle of Florida. Have a full band for music and everything. We're techinically part of the sothern baptist convention........I think, but we definitely try to avoid being legalistic about stuff. We have people that dress up on Sundays, and that's fine. Some people enjoy it. But no one is going to get turned away because they're wearing shorts and a ball cap.
We had a guy come ine who had bed bugs or something (can't recall what exactly), and he was asked to leave, but that was mainly a health issue.

That still works. Can you imagine the confidence and/or carefree attitude it would take to run errands in your birthday suit?
Some people want to dress well in public, and some want to be comfortable. I don't believe there is anything wrong with either, and neither bother me in the least.

99.9% of my business is done via email or phone. If a client comes in the office, I'll wear a suit. But if not, i'm in flip flops shorts and a polo most days

People who never really dress nice think of it as uncomfortable, prob bc their brain automatically associates nice attire as a tie...which is not the point. Like stated many pages back, even just a collared shirt like a polo is decent. There is nothing uncomfortable about a polo.

Oh man, I just started a job where it's business casual, and I'm learning, especially with shoes, there is always a comfortable option.
