The realization that women only give a shite about how many zeros I have following my bank balance has freed me from the illusion that looking sharp has any bearing on how women will react to me !

Ehh, I beg to differ. It's the reason many of these post have suggested people "let themselves go" after kids/marriage. The truth is you usually have different priorities at that point. Whether LadyTigress likes my outfit is of little concern when I'm married with 3 kids. It was a much bigger concern when I was single.

when people realized that its stupid to get dressed up for every little thing that you end up doing in your life and that there is 100% a place for comfortable, casual, leisure wear that you would not wear when you go to work or out for dinner

When we all collectively decided it was more pleasurable to be fat as frick and not work out, and if that were the case, why care about how one dresses, than it was to be in shape and attractive to the opposite sex. And how is slacks and a collared polo not comfortable?
Dress shoes to me are 100% super comfy.

I'm adequately comfortable in my current work attire. When I get home I'm taking off my shoes and changing into shorts and a t-shirt because they're more comfortable.

The guy that wears jeans, a fishing shirt, and tennis shoes that is there every Sunday probably doesn't give a rat's arse what you think when you're in your suit on Easter and Christmas.

Plus I already said when I am at home im wearing a t-shirt.

I should have said I was speaking from my perspective of it. When I was a kid, there were certain places you didn't wear jeans to I guess I still apply that when I do go to somewhere like church. Same thing with wearing a hat at the dinner table. If you are in your own home and eating lunch or dinner.. It really doesn't matter if you have a hat on, but its something I do out of habit because I was always told it was extremely disrespectful..

Our church is really lax as far as that's concerned, as long as you're clean and not half naked or something. We just want you to come. Our preacher wears jeans every Sunday. Our previous preacher would actually rock jeans and flip flops a lot.
If you're going to be a church that looks down on someone for how they dress, a) that's nothing Jesus ever cared about, and b) you won't be a church a lot of people will want to go to.
