Keep him into hot wheels unless he likes building. My kid wanted me to build the LEGO’s so he could play with them. Then he would bring it back every time a lego piece fell off.

The fun needs to be the build.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard my husband curse so much in his life as he did putting this stadium together. The instructions were so hard to see, and the bags weren’t sorted like Lego. But the end result is awesome.

Yeah I had heard/read it was a pain in the arse so I sorted everything into solo cups and just counted out whichever pieces I needed per step. You kind get into the flow of the directions after a while.

Ok fine but shite man these legos nowadays are like $30-$50 per set for a decent set.

Lol where are are finding them that cheap? Try 60-100+ for most decent build sizes.

30-50 seems cheap for legos

It is. Any new Lego line-up that typically has two big sets, a couple of mediun-sized sets and then some starter size sets will usually run three or four hundred easy for the whole schmiel. I have some complete Lego sets put away I can probably sell on Ebay for about two grand.

Anybody bitching about a $30-50 toy for their kid is most likely a poor.

Went to the bike shop to pick up a new pump and a family was buying a bike for their son. Sales lady asked how old the kid is and he said 13. Dad said the price limit on a mountain bike was $5,000. The kid was chubby and didn't look like he had ever been on a bike. And he gonna outgrow the thing in a year.

When I left they were looking at a $6500 carbon frame bike

Some of them are just as hard on the feet as Lego.

We've got 10's of thousands of legos at out house (closer to 100K if I was a betting man). Try to avoid buying the sets. Buy in bulk if you can. There are several why:

There’s always that one guy.... “Dad, I want the millennium falcon.” “Son, here’s three pounds of bricks, use your imagination.”

I’m a Lego VIP member. I’ve got to admit their high end sets are awesome. I’ve got the Saturn V and Voltron. If I had room I’d buy the 89 Batmobile. Holding out for when they do a space shuttle.

He's got plenty of sets. He asked for the Saturn V for Christmas when he was 7 and built it 100% by himself.

It just as a family (him included), we feel that the "master built" models are best.

And when we buy bricks in bulk, it's closer to 20 lbs, not 3....

Anyone here used to also use Lincoln Logs?

I used to have the green lego bin, Lincoln logs, and some bionicles. Lincoln logs were badass

Get ready

They know their market and people will pay it.

The last ones I bought 2 weekends ago were 70 per and I've got twin grandsons so you don't get to buy one.

My wife(no pics) buys them on Amazon and gets a pretty good deal on them.

Just buy them the Lego games for PS

This was my goto as a kid.

There was another set that was all metal and one bolted it together with nuts and bolts. Can't remember the dam name.

I love the magnet toys they have now.

My boys have legos, lincoln logs and the one you posted.

They'll play with them all day.
