When did Legos get so fricking expensive???

Take my kid to Target to get him a new toy. He’s basically into hot wheels and fire trucks that kind of stuff. But he’s walking around the toy aisles and he starts noticing legos and wanting a set. Ok fine but shite man these legos nowadays are like $30-$50 per set for a decent set. Who is paying these exorbitant prices for legos?

There are some pretty badass sets out there. Bought one over the lockdown that was the Apollo 11 Moon Lander.

Plus it's a bitch sorting those things and making sure you don't frick up a single piece in the set. That's a big reason they're expensive.

I buy them for my Godson at Christmas

I can remember when we were kids and a really nice set was 20.00

ETA
Everyone is awhile they will have some on the clearance aisle at WalMart

They have definitely shot up in the last 3-4 years.

Costco has some nice sets for fairly cheap.

it is due to the increased lawsuits from the sue happy-people stepping on them while barefooted and breaking ankles and losing limbs.

Try garage sales. That poster AntiqueTiger picked up a lego set real cheap last week. You can get pointers from him

go to garage sale
if you see legos, buy them
