The only people that say it in mixed company are the young and the trashy. Usually the young learn when they have kids of their own.

It's usually uncouth poor people, or people who were raised poor or by one parent, who speak this way. I'd say 75% of this forum fall into one of those categories. It's these people who already feel that they don't belong so they try to be edgy.

I try not to say it around the females at work ( unless it's a question) but these younger female engineers use it as a noun, pro-noun, verb, and adjective constantly. Times have sure changed!

I had dinner with Joe Moglia with a handful of men and women and that man could not avoid dropping F bombs every other word. Maybe he came from a broken home.

I work in TV advertising and maybe it's just because of that, but I hear the f-bomb fly out of my colleagues' mouth at least 50 times a day. It's actually pretty funny seeing how creatively people can integrate it into their sentences; or when someone gets so frustrated all they can manage is a "frickity frick frick FUUUUUUCCCKKKKK!". Sometimes simplicity is key.

It's way more powerful when somebody who never says it drops it on you out of nowhere. My mom never curses so when she dropped that f bomb I knew it was time to shut my arse up
