I don’t know the right answer for all of those things, but I often reminisce about Baton Rouge from roughly 1996-2001. Peak Baton Rouge. The serial killer era spawned the widespread paranoia that a lot of suburbanites adopted as their whole personality ever since. Then Katrina and the crime that has endured ever since. Wow.

But for those few years in the late 90s-early 2000s…what a time to be alive in BR.
