1960s. Clemente, Stargell, Mays, Aaron, Gibson, Koufax, Killebrew. No DH, no wild card. A lot of classic venues still in use. I'd pay good money to see a game in person from this era.

Not a fan of the Yankees I see. Mantle, Marris, Berra, Ford.

Not really sure that you can out a date on this, but the 3 most impactful tech breakthroughs (IMO) in the US were:
1. Trains/ railroads
2. Telephone invention
3. plastics

Politics - 1997 to 2000. Bill Clinton was president at the beginning of this window but hadn't been impeached. I actually remember my dad, a big conservative, going to see him speak and being excited about it. It was just a different time then when all of America believed the same stuff.
You must be young. There is a reason Clinton lost the House to Republicans who took it over for the first time in 40 years.

Nah, literally the very next decade was way better for all the KPIs in the OP and just in general. The 80s were lame unless you liked trannies and smack.

The 1990s will be looked at as the single decade America was at its zenith.

USSR defeated, no war on terror yet.

Economic boom thanks to PCs and the Internet. Just enough technology to enjoy but not enough to completely destroy anything yet.

The conservative culture censors had faded and the left wing ones hadn't yet risen.

Things weren't perfect or anything but as far as strength, peace, and prosperity the country probably never had it better.

Nope, 2006. You had Cars and Talladega nights in the same year and attendance was at an all time high. Then came the sucky COT and the recession.

We started out each day with the Pledge of Allegiance, could still play smear the q***r on the playground, wear our K-Mart bought plastic costumes to school at Halloween, drew names to exchange presents to celebrate Christmas, ate REAL school pizzas and washed it down with whole chocolate milk in the lunchroom. And our teachers never tried teaching us about any weird homosexual cross-dressing fetishes.

1980 - 2020

Too many SEC legends and titans to name. But this period started with us being lucky to see one SEC game a week, if that. By the mid to late 80s we had the 11:30 JP game, then ESPN gave us the Thursday night game. The 90s gave us the SEC on CBS and saw the SEC become the dominate conference in college football for the next almost quarter century. Then came the COVD season, the portal, NIL and all the conference expansions. I still love it and live for it, but college football is broken. They really need to fix it.
