First and last name is enough in the vast majority of public record searches.

#vanlife bro.

Small is trendy now. I noticed since this tiny house craze blew up most people claim to live under 999 sq ft.

Triple digit sf is cool in 2019. You'll definitely pull more trim pretending you're a minimalist living in a bungalow or studio apartment.

Inflating numbers to make it look like you have a McMansion is 80's af like hair bands and Ronald Reagan.

I agree, this is another reason I understate. But, I just know some that just blatantly make up shite. Very cringe worthy and sad, IMO.

Says the guy who blatantly makes shite up about the square footage about his house.

If you have a coworker ask you, "How many square feet is your house?" How do you answer?

I have never had a coworker (or any other human being) ask me such a silly question. And honestly, I don't know. I know the full total, because it was in the papers I signed. It's 3586 under the roof, but there's about 1000 sq ft of unheated garage (complete guess. I have no fricking clue what the actual number is, and I am not going to measure it). What is the correct answer if any jackass like the OP were to ever walk up to me and start grilling me with questions about my home that are none of their goddamn business?

980 sqf condo that i paid off many years ago when I purchased it... I had been renting it out for several years but recently moved in it full time. It is simple, easy to clean and requires very little cost to operate.

Why would this be a thing unless you're living in a refrigerator box on the street.

I usually say only 3000 even though it’s about 4700 if you include the guest house

It's all relative to location IMO. If you're living an hour outside of the city so that you can have a 5k sq ft house is that something that should impress people?

Anyone that matters to me has already been to my house as a guest so they don't ask such weird questions

The only people who have ever asked me or some of my friends in real estate and they were only asking because I was probing them about how much I could get if I sold my house

3265 but I just say 3300

Same with the land 5.65 acres but I just say 6 acres.

I was taught to round up in elementary.

Yep.

3500' is great when it's hot as balls and the kids are little. Now that they don't run around inside I'd rather a smaller house closer to mid town for convenient partying.

2186 but I say 2200. If your mad about the 14ft of exaggeration meet me at sonic.
But yes I knew a guy that include a closed in attic space and covered porches as sq ft. He thought he had everyone fooled till he listed it and couldn’t sell his 3987sft home till he lowered it to the price of similar 2800sft homes!!! Lol
