It's also really freeing to have a frickload of money in the bank.

The fact that you are personally grieved about me saying something not to you that is essentially the same exact thing you are saying means:

1. You're stupid
2. You're insecure about something I said.
3. Both

As is usually the case on the OT, it's probably 3.

Bro, this is the second time in two days I have quoted you in agreement and you have misread the post and called me stupid because you're still mad about a disagreement in the Politics forum last week. Come on......

Women's natural role isn't sitting at home all day.

I've never posted on the politics board. Further proof that you are, in fact, stupid.

Eta: and the fact that you do post on that cess pool board only confirms that fact.

Okay maybe it was on the OT and I didn't remember correctly. In either case, you calling me stupid twice when it was YOU who misread my post.

That is right up there with people who post "YOUR RETARDED"

I apologize for confusing you with someone who posts in Politics though, that is pretty low.

Hell, I did. I married one.

Well maybe less on the independent. I think her head would detach from her body if she didn’t have me.

it goes against thousands of years of social evolution

I would say that it is actually part of social evolution.

It wasn't until I started working at a certain place (this was 12-15 years ago) that I realized that there really are men, who think women should still play the traditional role. This particular situation was an older guy, but since then I learned that it's not particularly just the older generation, but I don't understand that mindset.

If a woman gets married, becomes a housewife and then 15 years later her husband decides to run off with another woman and he doesn't have much that she can get from him in a divorce.. Then what is she suppose to do? Go out and try to find a job after not working for over 15 years? She is raising the kids, with no support from the man.. Does anyone want their daughter to not be able to take care of herself if needed?

Not to mention, the cost of living is higher now than ever (even after inflation). Two salaries are needed for a lot of households. Do women intimate some of you?

Men turn wrenches for 60 hours a week to afford 4 days in Destin and women sit at home at the trailer and make meatloaf and have the Busch light ready.

What does she do with all of her free time? Serious question.

Question is rescinded if she has really young kids.

I get that some people do like to have a wife who stays at home. I still think a woman should get a good education and work for a while before having kids.

Two of my closer friends who have stay at home wives and these ladies were both lawyers. They plan to raise the kids for a while and work some part time gigs and maybe go back to full time when the kids are old enough.

I'm not scared of a woman, especially one that challenges me. I can make my own sandwiches.

The weirdest to me is the dudes who have stay at home wives and no kids.

I know at least 3 married couples that don't have kids but only one works. That ain't natural.

So she'll volunteer 40 hours per week once the kids are all in school?

Good on her, that may not be a "career" but it's a cause she's putting her time into.
