I’m adopted

Pretty sure my birth parents are some trailer park dwellers in the Shreveport-Bossier City area

It used to be commercial fishing and processing—shrimpers, oystermen, seafood factory foremen and marine electricians, but it migrated to cops, teachers and shipbuilding over the years.

Well, let's see...

My momma and them are doing ok. Everyone is just chilling at home.

Aunt Myrtle recently had her gallbladder removed. And cousin Donnie knocked up another girl. And Uncle Otis has shingles again.

My family business is none of your business. And it most certainly is not Sanitation.

Generations of teachers and musicians in my family.

My grandmothers, parents, aunts, great aunts were teachers. I have one brother who teaches.

My great uncle, dad, and uncle were musicians. I was a musician as well.

My siblings are a well rounded group—Doctor, Archaeologist, Teacher, Technical writer, DOTD manager, and electronics specialist.

For extended family, it would be law enforcement. Though none of me, my siblings, or my parents took that route. And none of us share a vocation.
