I was making a small bowl of oatmeal for a little while

Lately I've been throwing fruit into a blender with a scoop of protein powder, but I'm getting tired of this as well

What are some other suggestions?

Nothing. It's between the 3 hour span where I eat.

Sure

Only reason why I stated "afternoon" in the thread title is because a lot of morning folks go straight to the gym without eating anything, or something very minor.

You mean my go-to meal at the bar after work while I enjoy my bourbon & coke and flirt with the 20 year old bartender and listen to all the Wisconsin girls talk about how cute my boots are?

Chili.

I lift in the mornings. NO Explode on empty stomach right when I roll out of the rack at 0400 and a Cliff Bar/GatorAid on way to gym. In the PM before jits, it's a Red Bull and another Cliff Bar.

Full fat yogurt and steel cut oats. Blend in spinach if you need. I eat these solid - for breakfast - but if I were going to work out, I would just blend them for time and quicker digestion.

ETA: If you blend it, you can add protein powder, amino acids, whatever you might in a pre or post workout shake.

I can't eat before I work out.

As far as the oatmeal though, I have been just tossing it in solid with my protein shakes an just eating it that way lately. Not the greatest especially since it usually sticks to the bottom, but it's quick easy, and don't have to add anything to make it edible.

Would eat every once in a while, they are so bad for you though, and taste pretty terrible to cap it off.

I tend to go with a ham turkey and cheese sandwich on white with half an apple with peanut butter but I workout directly after lunch
