Didn't have one on my phone, but this is pretty close.

I usually do shredded boiled chicken in it as well. And instead of all cornbread do half cornbread and half rolls, biscuits, loaf bread, etc.

Oyster dressing
I am not a huge fan of oysters but is this a New Orleans thing? That is all we had growing up but any place outside NOLA I get looked at weird when people ask what kind of dressing or stuffing we had growing up.
I've always associated oyster dressing as Yankee dressing because any time I ever visited college friends during Thanksgiving, their families served oyster dressing instead of cornbread dressing. It's a weird texture to me compared to cornbread dressing and it was bland IMO.

Cranberry sauce.

There is nothing better than a fork with turkey and stuffing on it, with just a tad bit of cranberry sauce with it. Not a lot, maybe 10% of the total bite.

That’s pure Thanksgiving!!!

When my Mom was alive, she'd make this rice and gravy that was over the top. And her desert was Chocolate Delight. Haven't had anything that comes remotely close since she passed.

We are doing...

Smoked turkey.
Cornbread Dressing.
Green beans.
Hashbrown casserole.
Broccoli and cheese.

And Pecan Pie.

Past meals have included Mac and cheese, mash potatoes, spicy corn casserole, fried okra, pintos.

Try to do less carbs now cause I just feel like crap otherwise afterwards.

My aunt from Houma makes this cranberry jello that her mom (my grandmother) used to make for thanksgiving. I’m not sure if it’s a Houma thing or not, but it is so delicious. I will have to find the recipe, but I think it’s like celery, pecans, oranges, cranberries, green apples, crushed pineapple, all suspended in strawberry jello. It’s so good.

Shrimp and mirliton dressing.

No, wait, oyster dressing.

Hmmm, now that I think about it, giblet gravy and rice.

shite, I forgot the crawfish and cornbread dressing and I haven’t gotten to the smoked turkey

Is “all of them” an option.

Used to be either good ole turkey and gravy or mac and cheese, but I'm starting to go towards either sweet potatoes or dressing, probably dressing. My mom makes the best ever.
