Shrimp Mirliton

THIS....I make mine with bacon, shrimp, crab, and chopped up mirlitons with a bit of bread crumbs. It's a staple every year along with fresh cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserold, rice dressing, homemade pumpkin and pecan pie, and fresh whipped cream!

I should say cornbread dressing but it’s probably chicken casserole. A plate full of both is my go-to breakfast on Friday morning.

Shrimp Mirliton

Unfortunately I can’t eat this anymore. Back in 2014, I went to my SILs families for lunch before heading to my FiL. My SILs aunt made them, and I ate a few. One tasted funny, but I didn’t think anything of it.

I puked in my car on the way to my FiLs house. Puked again there. Puked again on the way to my parents, and most of the night. Didn’t feel better until about noon the next day.

I’ve never been able to eat them again.

It’s Turkey for me. I can’t wait for some Turkey.

Give me big serving of cornbread dressing with cranberry sauce and a big moist turkey thigh and I'm in heaven.
