Potatoes would be the best answer for a Husker fan. You guys eat taters three meals a day. I'd go pasta.

I can cook a pretty good chili for relatively cheap. Usually could feed me one supper a week for almost two weeks. That's also after freezing half of the original pot. Pasta stretches it out tremendously.

My ex wife and I had a rice cooker so we would steam rice and add hamburger meat and veggies, I called poor folks stir fry

Mac and cheese

Used to be totino's party pizza. Ate hundreds in college. Too bad the cheese is 100% imitation or I'd keep eating them.
