Yeah Hawaiian and Pacific are great for sports.

Hawaii sucks when it comes to stock market and simple shite like that.

No doubt, CST is the best. TV schedules are arranged for it.

There isn't an Atlantic time zone.

It's Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern.

Have any of y’all looked into the history of time zones? I just started reading Wikipedia about it and think about being some of the difficulties when railroads and telegraphs first started.

What amazes me though is people knew of the potential issues in the 1600’s thanks to astronomy and sailing. Our ancestors were very knowledgeable

I have lived just about all of my life on CST but currently live on the absolute western edge of EST. Some thoughts...

Pros

1. Mornings are darker and evenings are brighter, just like any area that is on the extreme west of a time zone. Driving to work in the dark is a bit of a drag, but I prefer it to driving home in the dark.

2. I'm within 20 minutes of a good size city on CST, so my dining options, etc., run a little later.

Cons

1. Sometimes hard to stay up for college football games.

2. Most of my out of town work is done at places that are on CST, which can make for some late nights.

Central is best. I now live in Eastern. I fell asleep during the 2017 CFP Championship and missed the whole entrance of Tua and the comeback. I woke up on the couch around 3:00 and had to pull up highlights on my phone.

Same thing happened during the Clemson//Ohio State game this year. I missed Clemson’s game-winning drive because I couldn’t keep my eyes open.

Hawaiian - because nothing beats trying to get out of work early to catch the start of Monday Afternoon Football when your team is playing. Also the Super Bowl kicking off around noon makes a lot of sense if they insist on keeping that thing on a Sunday.

It absolutely isn't Eastern. Eastern sucks for a variety of reasons.

First, any big-time game or premier event starts like at 8:00 or 9:00. Thanks to sensationalism and TV advertisements, these games always end well past midnight. It sucks when you have to go to work the following day. I remember one LSU - Ole Miss game a few years ago in Tiger Stadium kicking off at 9:20 or so on Eastern time.

Next, if you do any business/have any clients/have any offices on West Coast time, they'll have no problem bombarding you with work calls and e-mails at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM as its 2:00 and 3:00 PM out there.

Central. But I’m about to finally be finished living in the MW. Time zone isn’t worth the stay.

Eastern does suck arse though and only gets worse the older you get when it comes to live sports.

CST.

I hate being on Pacific time during football season. College games start at 9AM, NFL kicks off at 10AM.
