I grew up welding bc my dad done it my whole childhood. They have many types of robotic welders that will lay flawless beads so fast they are slowed down to give the steel time to cool without warping.. They are becoming common.
I transitioned to Maintenance Mechanic/ Welding and I make about 60% more than I did production welding (at a TOP paying job) and do maybe 1/5 as much a week. My f350 is coming soon though
Im going thru a divorce so the options for the next five years are literally endless. Maybe I'll have a new wife and even a kid, or maybe I'll go back to working on the road and getting to move to a new city with new women every 6 months or so.
