Game 6 of the Cubs/Marlins NLCS in 2003, I was so close to catching that foul, but Alou distracted me.

Played HS ball with a great player named Todd Kinchen-that was fun, sitting back and being amazed at what he could do. Winning those "win and play on" Saturday/Sunday youth league baseball tournaments. Winning two city championships in pee-wee football (6th and 7th grade).

Sophomore year I went to Tulane's baseball camp (back when they were doing really well). It was me and 3 other guys from my high school team. I was the only one under 15 at the time. They put everyone but me in a group the scouts followed (only because it was the older group, I was cut out due to age). I snuck in the group because I didn't want to be alone. My first time on the field taking BP I did extremely well. As I walked off, had a Braves scout ask what position I played and when he found out I wasn't even 15, he wrote my name down. Second round through BP they paid attention. I went back to normal looking like a spaz. I got to feel good about myself for about 2 hours. Still haven't come down from that high

My 9th ace. 1st round with my son in law the day before he married my daughter. Me, him and 3 of his groomsmen.
Knocked a 4 iron in on an uphill par 3 (#3 at the capstone) couldn't see but about half the flag, but it was right at it.
We get to the green, no ball. They were excited, because none of them had ever seen one. So I strolled over to the flag, looked down and said "yeah, it's in there" and strolled back to the cart and said "one of you get that for me"
They are whooping it up, and I'm kicked back in the cart. After s bit they asked why aren't you happy, that's a once in a lifetime shot.
To which the response was "you quit jumping up and down after about the 5th one. One of you getting that?"

I have a few of my personal performances, but those are surpassed by my kids. My son won rec football and baseball championships and later high school baseball state championship. My daughter has won two volleyball championships, a basketball championship, and a softball championship.
Makes me forget my performances.

I was on the field for every Saints 'home' game in 2005.
They let me shoot a shirt launcher, blow up the balloon thingies when the Saints ran on the field and scored.
Talked to Jon Gruden, got Urlacher to sign a glove, gave dap to Devery Henderson every time I saw him, Dunn signed s friends helmet, walked in behind Vick after halftime. Bumped elbows with Eva Longoria. Stole a bunch of NFL footballs.
Other than the Saints sucking that year, it was fun as hell.

7th grade basketball....I went to a super small mostly white school. We were paying a predominately back school who destroyed us every game. Their point guard was likely a few grades behind and probably 6’ tall or better.......could easily dunk.
I stole the ball from him just inside of half court and hit the fast break......when I got to the hoop I faked the layup....my feet never left the ground. He sailed past me and then I hit the easy layup.
The gym went nuts and my friends mom got it on tape.

I grew up on Long Island. My dads next door neighbor was nose tackle for the jets and we had season tickets. He had 2 girls that had no interest in football so he treated me like a son. Even offered to let me wear his away jersey to a couple games.

I used to live right across the street from there in 1992 and 1993. Would see Jimmy Johnson walking in the morning...Michael Irving and his Playmaker licesnce plate. Spent almost every night at the Cowboy's Sports Cafe'...even worked there for a short period.
My cousin used to live in apartments near by there (again, this was years ago). He still works for them, his brother is the one that got hurt when their practice facility got hit by the strong winds. I havent seen them for years though. Nice guys, they were older cousins, aunt married later in her life. I really want to get back down to Texas sometime to visit.

Bender absolutely hammered a dunk over top of me his junior year. Guy guarding him backed off so I stepped over to try for the charge as he was coming across the free throw line. Just glad there were no tv cameras around, would have made the highlight reel for sure. But, he tried to drive on me towards the baseline from the wing and put his shoulder down and tried to plow through, I didn't budge. Dude was weak as shite, 6'11 and 215-225 maybe. But could def ball for his size.

Jr. year HS we went to Glen Oaks to play against Lester Earl and crew. Right before tip off Rick Pitino and Dale Brown walk into the gym and watch the game standing from the baseline. We ended up taking them double OT and losing. The next night Kentucky erased a 41 point defecit to beat LSU.
