My SIL is 28 and if what she is telling us is true, her son will be a dad within 9 months.

She had him at 14 and he “may” be a father by next summer-ish

Luckily my wife is nothing like her.

When I was a kid, our maid, was a grandmother at 26. She had her daughter at 13 and her daughter had a daughter when she was 13.

I have a niece who became a grandmother in her mid-30s, and is now a great-grandmother in her mid 50s.

I want to say my grandmother was 35 when her first grandchild was born. Her oldest child was serving in Vietnam, her second oldest was the one who gave birth, and her youngest child was about two months away from conception. This was late 60s in rural Maine.

Yes, I have a cousin that's older than his (and my) uncle.

A guy I went to HS with was a married father at 18, a grandfather in his early 40s and a great grandfather in his late 60s. Sadly, he recently passed away. He was a great guy.
RIP

I had 2 patients that each had a baby, one was 11 and the other was 12 at the time. (State hospital pts) I guess theoretically they could be grandparents at 22. Sad circumstances really. They weren't there at the same time and it was 20 years ago but still blows my mind.

One of my middle school friends knocked a girl up when he was 15, and his son knocked a girl up when HE was 16. So, 31 I guess.

There’s a lot to unpack here but…My aunt Tickle, which is her actual real name, lives in Bawcomville, and became a grandmother at 32.

I'm 38 no kids. GF of 2.5 years. Not sure we will have kids if we get married. I have a health condition that is exasperated by sleep deprivation. Her uncle is 60 married with no kids. I'm close with my best friend and see their babies regularly and we see her cousin regularly and her kids. In other words, She gets her baby fix. Her cousin's husband is lineman that works long periods out of state all over the country so she helps give her a break and take care of them. My sister is 48 and doesn't have kids. She delivers babies for a living though and is career driven. She has a couple of people that she delivered that are now grandparents.

My grandmother was 38 when my sister was born. She's still alive at 96 and has 3 great great grandaughters.

I had a great uncle that recently died at 98; never had kids. Widowed for his last couple decades. Couple months before he died he still lived in a waterfront condo, drove a convertible, and had a younger (80ish) girlfriend.

My grandfather was born into a large family in the early 1920s and had a couple of uncles that were younger than him.
