Bissonnet track is essentially Hamsterdam from The Wire. It’s probably too small to be considered a full on neighborhood but holy shite. I haven’t been down there in a while but Sharpstown is pretty fricking rough and hasn’t been mentioned in here yet

Played Westwood in the hood yesterday, there's a Pappas BBQ there on Bissonet that says they close the dining room at 5. I didn't hear any gun shots my entire round though!

every now and then i have meetings in office parks near there. there is a good bit of logistics companies around there.
Sometimes ill go out of my way to see what the track looks like. I will say that HPD has stopped some of the street walking or at least pushed it off Bissonnet directly. I do not have the balls to drive around the side streets.
I know it is an very stupid thing to go "site-seeing" in an active whore and drug market but it is kind of incredible to see.

I did some volunteer stuff after Ike when I was in college that brought me down there, it was bad then as far as crime and prostitution from what I saw. Was coming back into town from Sugar Land for work around 2018 and decided to see what the hype was about. Never again. Can’t imagine the stories the patrol guys have from around there
Sharpstown is an interesting hood, it has parts that still aren’t bad closer to Strake and Chinatown and a ton of different ethnic enclaves, but they also get the spillover from Bissonnet and a much rougher element closer to 59 from what I’ve seen

sharpstown would be a lot better of a hood if 59/610 was not such pain in the arse to cross. It is only convenient if you work in the EC and there are much nicer spots to live in closer to the EC
Alief spill over doesn't help either. All those old 70s apartment complexes around there just need to be burned down
There is absolutely a Chinatown underworld that i wish i was cool enough to know more about. I've been drinking at pool hall above tiger den that was completely empty besides a high schooler or two but employed 5 or 6 people. It made sense when skimpy dressed cocktail waitress came from back door to grab a drink and i could see casino behind the door.

If you listen to the main stream media it would be The Woodlands by far.
According to them when you get a bunch of MAGA lovers together things get extremely dangerous.

Not entirely true. The dangerous ones are relatively more likely to live in areas where the white population is declining the fastest.
