Worked at a family fun center when I was 18. I worked the go carts. Kids had to be a certain age to drive and it always blew my mind how the parents would clearly lie about the kids age.
We would get school field trips. The “minority” schools would come sometimes.
When they came bursting out the doors running to the go carts we called it the “black cloud “

Iraan Texas
Did two tours in the oil patch during the summer while in College.
It was living hell but we would come home with about $10,000 and no bills.

My turf for the past 6 months has been north Baton Rouge. I'll work the edges sometimes, but a lot of times it's straight into Melrose, Mall City, etc.
I'm mostly there during daylight hours, so it's not too bad. Working near the old EKL hospital off Airline one evening a few months ago. Had a fight break out in the apartment complex where I was working. I jumped in my truck once gunshots were fired. Had 2 police units just about run me over before I got out. Sat down the street at Crawler Supply and counted 4 more units inbound.
A few weeks ago I was working some rough apartments off Prescott. The utility area was fenced and locked, but I saw the fence was broken around back. So, I went through the abandoned apartments next door to crawl through the fence. While walking through there, I either saw a passed out drunk or maybe a body inside the abandoned place. Whatever it was, it didn't move while I was passing through 4x.
I was in that area working storm damage following the 2020 freeze. We were working later due to the storm, and I found myself up a pole around 8:00 PM when gunshots started going off down the street. This old white boy set a new speed record coming down that ladder and making tracks.

I used to work for a stack testing company and travelled all over the country. Been to a lot of shitty places, but also a lot of nice ones. Miami was nice as well as Puerto Rico. Logansport Indiana around Christmas in a snowstorm 125’ up in the air was cold. But probably Bogalusa, Texas City, and McAllen, Tx were some of the worst. But we always managed to have fun everywhere we went.
