Cologne is from a period when people stunk and it masked it. I think the best smell on a person is no smell.
And to other points made in this thread, my wife would not like it if I wore cologne.

It’s just an unnecessary thing that everyone around you has to smell.
I’m sure you hate some colognes/scents/perfumes, right? Safe to assume some people hate yours. That’s just one reason. But I’m sure it’s better than stinking body odor from the old days.

Yeah. I like it. The particularly set she bought me came as a gift set with the big bottle of cologne plus aftershave balm, lotion, and also a travel-size bottle of the cologne which is handy for vacation.
I’ve just never been big on wearing cologne. I don’t wear it everyday, only if we’re going out on a date night or something.
As for clothes, she has good taste and knows what type and style of clothes I prefer. So, if she sees something she knows will look good on me and that I’ll like, she gets it for me. If I had to guess, I’d say over half of my wardrobe consists of clothes she’s bought me, either as gifts or just she just saw something while shopping.

I'll put some of this on, and you'd be amazed at how many women recognize the scent and comment. It started as kind of a joke, but has become a great conversation starter with the ladies.

I bought a cologne on sale from Duke Cannon a few years ago called “Lincoln.” Love it, though I’m a rare occasion cologne wearer.

Danse Sauvage Chris Collins has gotten me more great comments from ladies than any other cologne I've ever worn!
