If you’ve been to a Bucees then you’d know that there are many times, esp during the summer and on weekends, that all pumps are taken.

I don't often leave my truck at the pump. If it's 430 AM and there are 12 pumps I'll leave it if the rest are empty. I don't want somebody waiting to get gas because I was too lazy to move my truck.

Move your car lazy, other people are waiting on you to get your beaver nuggets and large coke

Doesn't matter if you are at Bucees or a two pump country gas station; if you are finished pumping you go and park, then go inside. Only sorry asses block gas pumps while they shop.
It is the gas station acid test equivalent of whether you put your grocery cart away.

There are so many pumps there, I usually just leave it (eta, when towing).
That’s otherwise usually a pet peeve.
But an employee once actually told me to leave it there. (I had a small travel trailer but still took up only one pump.)
It’s customary and appropriate apparently.

Start the pump, leave it pumping, go in the store, come out to finished pump, hang back up, leave.

Going to be visiting one soon. Is it customary to pump gas AND THEN leave your car at the pump while you go shop inside? Or move your car first?Seems like a lot of dillydally, if so. I always see people complaining about spots here.
I move my car then go inside unless it’s one of the rare occasions when it wasn’t overly crowded and there was lots of open pumps.

depends how crazy traffic is. if its nuts, i'm leaving it be. if i can quickly move it, i will. usually i'm getting ice anyways so it helps to move to front.

Don't. It's really just that simple.

I leave it at the pump.

It’s like not putting the buggy not in the cart bin at the grocery store.

IMO it is never okay to leave your car at a gas pump, if you are not pumping gas. I invariably pull up to the perimeter of the store when I am done pumping. Common courtesy.

I worked with the company in the past. That's the reason they have that many pumps.
Posted on 7/3/25 at 10:09 am to The Scofflaw
I haven't stood at my car to pump gas in years. 1/2 the time the pump is still going when you come back out. Of course, I'm not going inside to frick around.

It's sometimes too hard to move your car and park in their parking lot. There's tons of cars coming and going at all times. Just leave the car at the pump. If you see plenty of available spaces.

If Bucc-ee's isn't crowded, there can be dozens of empty pumps. If that is the case, it's silly to think you're obligated to move it.
If it's at all crowded, pump and move.

After you fill up, go park near the store.
Don't be an a-hole and take up a pump spot for 30 min while you sample shite.
