Yeah, mine went over 102 last night. I was a bit worried when it kept climbing after taking ibuprofen.

You don’t have say shite if you may have been around someone.

So i have asked this question before also, what’s the point of running out and getting tested?

We tested kids since it gave them 90 days off from any class quarantine.

So what if it wasn’t Covid?
Could have been the flu. There’s medicine to treat that, if you want it.

Sounds like a good reason to me.

There's no reason other than to know you have it.

I was having symptoms last week and went to the drive through test.

The nurse told me to treat it the same way positive or not
Mucinex and Tylenol + rest and hydration

I was negative and already work from home so it was a big waste of time

My whole family likely had it around Christmas and New Year...all the tell tale symptoms, etc and just took some Nyquil and rested and went on with our lives. Other than the fear mongering about it, it would have never occurred to me to get treatment from a doctor for what I had, and I sure as shite saw no reason to go stick a swap into my brain to test for anything specific.

Same scenario for me. I didn't have symptoms severe enough to get any sort of treatment, so there was no point. I do still have some lingering congestion that I hope resolves at some point, but I've probably caused that by using Afrin too many times.

Yeah that’s it. Has nothing to do with traveling, having a negative to return to work, or anything. It’s all virtue signaling

It lets you know if you have it, same as a flu test. I've had it twice and probably won't get tested again. But if it's someone who is possibly going to be around older or compromised people, I can see why they would want to know if they have it.

My sister went into labor and tested positive in the waiting room before she went into delivery. Who thinks she is listed as a covid hospitalization?

No, if you are sick don't travel. Or if symptoms are very mild, then travel. Doesn't matter if its Covid or not.

having a negative to return to work
Valid, but probably 0.01% of all tests.

Why would you go around an older or compromised person with any sickness? What does knowing do in this case?

Well considering some countries still require a negative covid test to enter, it does matter if it’s covid and it does matter if you have a test or not

Vaccinated. Just had it. Sore throat one day. Headache one day. That was it. I’m old and immuno “compromised.” My employer requires testing. But this obsessive testing makes no sense to me, except to keep the panic going.

Being able to post on FBook that you have COVID and need Netflix recommendations.

Ok again, we are now talking about an even smaller percentage than the "return to work" subset. So your two reasons account for probably 0.015% of all covid tests.

When I had covid this most recent time it felt like seasonal allergies. I would have never gotten tested if it wasn't for my sister running fever and testing positive. It was a few days before Christmas, so I got tested before I went back to see family. I didn't feel sick, but knowing I had it kept me from going and seeing older family.
