I'd bet anyone who drinks craft beer in Acadiana has at some point experienced it.

Funniest thing is when some Bud Light drinking fig giggles and points at me when I'm drinking a Natty.

Mich Ultra or Bud Lite

Well those are two extremely shitty and flavorless beers, but I will still drink them if offered to me. It's not like I would turn down a free beer.

Fantastic beer and if you can't taste it, that's your problem.

They probably have no idea what Inbev is.

I'll keep on buying Abita.

I'll usually have 1-3 craft beers then switch to something lite when i'm out at a bar/restaurant.

I love good beer, I just don't want 5 of them. They can get extremely filling and not to mention 2 to 3x the carbs/calories of lite beer.

There's a happy medium, folks.

To the bartender that replies to my, "Budweiser" order with, "Oh, you want water?".

You're not funny.

You're not going to upsell me.

You're not getting a tip.

And that's the thing, it's all subjective. To me, Bud Light is pretty terrible.

I dont see why people don't enjoy all beer.

Of course i dont like EVERY beer out there. But i like porters, pale ales, ipa's, dipa's, stouts, dunkels, hefeweisen, irish reds.... I like it all.

I also like bud light, corona, mich ultra, etc. What of it

But not hard cider. that is terrible

Everything has a time and place. Craft beer is perfect for drinking after a day of work or school, and what I'll always order when out at restaurants. If I'm at a tailgate or going bar hopping all night I'll stick to BMC.

I get where you're coming from. I drink lots of beer. I drinks of different beers. Where I can't go is anything over a certain IBU. I am convinced it's similar to people not being able to eat brussels sprouts or drink tonic. Tonic water can induce vomiting for me because the quinine taste is so strong.

Most IPAs taste absolutely foul to me and I've even stuck it out with some friends to see if that would ever change. It hasn't, and they are just gross. That may also explain the tasteless comments you see. The guys that can't detect the pine sol in beers can't detect the subtle greatness that is Bud-Light.

I love dark beer, but only because the imperial stouts are like 9%+ ABV. Tasty and you get twice the buzz.

I don't know why, but Bud/Coors/Miller give me bad heart burn. I literally can't have more than one or two.

And I'm the exact opposite. Once you start moving into the black beers, my stomach throws a bitch fit.

As for the greater argument, People should drink what they like. I was big on craft beer for a few years and would try to buy something different each time, but now I find myself wanting coors light more often than not. At the end of the day there are very few beers that I dislike the taste of. I won't judge a man or woman for the beer they drink because being a judgmental dick is missing the point of having a beer entirely.

FWIW...they use Coors Light/Bud Light in cicerone qualifying classes because its so tasteless that you can identify any off flavors easily

Assuming you're at a craft beer or upscale bar, ordering a Bud is the equivalent of ordering chicken nuggets at Galatoire's.

As do I.

I love brussel sprouts, especially pan fried. I also love a good gin and tonic, especially on a hot summer day.

Different strokes. I LOVE IPA's. If weve done a batch lately (the last 16 months probably), it's been an IPA or a deviation of it. I can appreciate it all, but if Im going to go to a beer as a light drinker it's either an APA, a session IPA, or a straight Pale Ale. During this time of the year I love a good stout or porter. I also like Heineken, Stella, Dos Equis etc as casual drinkers. I like it all, I just like American style light lagers the least by a very wide margin. I find they are overwhelmingly sweet and upset my stomach if I drink a few back to back.
