I’m in the market for a wallet after 10 years and noticing more and more people going clips or cardholders. Is the bifold a dead trend with Apple Pay and other misc tech payments? Who makes a solid quality wallet that would last another decade?

Get a Ridge, you'll never own another wallet.

Saddleback leather company. They make all different sizes. It will last more than a decade.

I usually put it in back pocket and sit, does the plastic or metal feel uncomfortable?

I always laugh when I see these millenials with their little money clip wallets. I have to have a big cowboy wallet to hold all my money. Maybe yall should lay off the avocado toast and Netflix and get yalls money up

I used to be a back pocket guy, but got the Ridge as a gift.

I leave it in the front pocket now and don't even notice it anymore.

I wouldn't recommend as a back pocket wallet.

It's just a matter of personal preference. I tried the front pocket wallet/money clip style and didn't like it. I went back to a fairly slim bifold (actually a gift) an it works for me.

Had one. Gave it away. Found a simple bifold leather with a money clip in Venice, Italy on a trip about 5 years ago and it's been perfect.

Quality stuff is hard to find these days. My last one did 10 years of use. I went to the same brand and now the leather is half leather half “canvas”

Mine is over a decade old and still isn't broken in.

I use it 99.99% of the time.

Have a flipfold made out of sails or whatever it's called for when we are on the water.

Ive had one of these for about 3 years. Ill never go back to a wallet filled with useless crap. Doesnt really have a spot for cash, but I just stick it in the middle and go with it. Rarely have cash anyways.

Its a wallet. I've had the same shitty fake leather wallet I bought in college for 20+ years now.

I have a Tumi made of ballistic nylon and leather. It's great.

I’ve been using the same wallet for over 20 years. It’s a bifold with a card holder that slides into the side of it. For years I’ve only carried the card holder on me. The bulky bifold stays in the console of my truck. This is very similar to what I actually carry in my front pants pocket:

When it wears out, I’ll probably replace it with just a card holder.

I still use a traditional bifold because I still carry cash.
I get them at Ross, TJ Maxx. Nordstrom Rack, etc.
Whatever I buy they usually last at least 5-10 years.
