Back in the early 60s, I had a teacher who retired right after the year she taught me. One of my friends mother saw her being dropped off at school by the same guy that used to drop her off when she had her. It seems they were of different religions and neither would convert to the others religion. The story was that he would “call” on her each night but they never did the deed. The teacher lived with her sister who was an old maid as well.
Over the years, I would mention this to various people who knew her, and they all verified the story. It seems it was a well- known fact around the town.
