I travel a lot and only ever stop when I need gas or reach my destination.
To answer the OPs question my current travel car is a Lexus ES so about the longest I can go is 6 hours or about 420 miles before I have to get gas, the longest ever would have been in a Mercedes E class diesel where I routinely drove over 7.5 hours or roughly 550 miles. I have certainly did longer than 6 hours in the ES due to traffic but I don't remember the specifics.
To answer the question most posters have answered my longest straight drive was 1350 miles which was about 18 hours and it was from BR to some small town in Arizona that I don't remember the name. It required 3 gas stops which for me means the car is only off for the time it takes to pump gas, I did go through a drive through at the second stop. When I travel I take snacks and a cooler with drinks and empty Gatorade bottles for nature calls. Trashy yes, but darn time efficient. I like driving and could easily go 24 hours without stopping if I had in-flight refueling.

8hrs
Thibodaux, LA to Corpus Christi, TX
2013 VW Passat TDi and once in a vehicle we do not have anymore, 2009 VW Jetta TDi.
10hrs would probably be my max without stopping.

Six hours in a rental car in 2000.
Drove from Santa Monica, CA to BTR, only stopping five times.
Fuel, toilet and food at each stop.
But I was 22 and a goddamn machine.

I worked with some guys who drove a route in an 18 wheeler from Houma to California. Truck had a bathroom in the sleeper cab, sometimes they would drive over 18 hours without stopping. Thats 300 gallon tanks, though. In a car you limited to tank size, both fuel and bladder.

NOLA to Bristol driving a 1977 Cutlass with a 1970 W-30 engine, with 4:10 gears. Fun ride.

In September I made it from New Orleans to Shreveport on one tank of gas without stopping with my wife, 3 year old, and one year old. That's basically the equivalent of driving continuously from New Orleans to Sydney, Australia.
We stopped for gas two more times on the twelve hour drive.
ETA: 2016 GMC Sierra

I'm surprised you made it there with your brain intact.
