Drove from Richmond, VA to Boston, MA during college with my friends to go visit our buddy who was at Emerson. I think it was like 18 hrs in the car?

I drove from Green Bay to Baton Rouge after the LSU/Wisconsin game back in 2016. It took me 18 1/2 hours. Made a few stops. Had my son ( he 12) with me.
Next would be flying to Scotland a few years ago. Flight left at 3 pm and landed in Scotland at 8 am there time.

Left Steamboat at 4 am to Drive to Vail on 12/24 made it to Alexandria at 10am. 12/25. So that was it. AA can screw you in ways you never dreamed. The only persons competent were the pilots.

Nola to Fes, Morocco 21 hours start to finish
Flight from nola to NYC 3 hours or so, 4 hour lay over, then a 7 hour flight to Casablanca, then about a 3 hour wait at the airport until all of my study abroad classmates arrived then a 4 hour van ride to Fes.
Once we arrived in Fes everyone wanted to nap, but my professor kept us up to get us on the local time schedule to prevent worse jet lag

After 9/11 I had to take a train to DC. 28 hours on that fricking thing. All I could think to do to not lose my mind was go get drunk in the bar car.
When I go off I was dirtier than a Frenchman.

About 8 years ago I did a 30ish hour trip from Houston to Israel but that’s because I chose a 8 or 9 hour layover in Denmark. Friends working for Shell were there for a few years so we hung out for a while.

OKC to DFW, DFW to JFK, JFK to Heathrow, Heathrow to Delhi. Right around 24 hours in the air. Usually layovers weren’t bad, couple hours. From Delhi would stay there a day or two then drive or fly up north.

I have no issue sleeping on intercontinental flights.

Houston to Singapore
3 stops, left on a Friday night got there on a Sunday afternoon
My company did pony up the cash for me to fly first class so it was much more enjoyable, but it’s still a fricking long arse time to sit in an airplane

I'd like to nominate today. Left West Palm area at 3am for a 6am flight. Got to Atlanta, delayed 2.5 hrs because of a Jeff Bezos wedding in Aspen. Get right by Aspen and just diverted to Denver. No idea if flight is cancelled or if they're bussing us to Aspen...

Did a 26 hr drive only stopping for gas.
Austin - Miami - Dubai - Johannesburg, South Africa was the longest trip. Had an 8 hr layover in Dubai. They have an airport hotel that books rooms in 4 hr increments (maybe 8 hour increments). Grabbed a nap and shower.
The return wasn't as long in total but worse without a break in the middle. Johannesburg to Atlanta was around 20 hours. Then back to Austin.

Travelling by air isn't that big a deal to me. The travel day which has felt the longest for me was a 13.5 hour drive from Bakersfield, CA to some small town in northern Texas (stopping only for fuel/bathroom breaks).

44 hours. Plane out of Melbourne delayed for 8 hours. Missed two other connections thru LAX and DFW. I wanted to kiss the ground at MSY when I finally got there. And that is a horrible thought.
