2015. Great year. No complaints.

The day WWL unveiled its app. Now I can stream and I’m able to listen to all of my favorite shows.

Winning a rape trial. My client faced life in Angola on ridiculous charges that never should have been brought. I was so happy and relieved after the verdict, I could barely talk.

Birth of my son. After complications our first 2 pregnancies, then having to jump through hoops to have him, I've never felt more elated than hearing him cry as he was born. Yeah, I cried

It’s funny how these really are some of the best times of our lives. Poverty really does bring you closer to God.
You appreciate what you have more when you don’t have a whole lot to begin with. Now I have to worry about stupid shite, like “why is Jose watering the flowers in front of the detached game room” or “I hope Jamarcus wipes the armor all off the windshield of the Rover before he brings it back”

Long story short, at one point in my life I thought having the ability to drive was just something else I had to accept not having the ability to do. Not being able to drive or play sports was that only two things that I really wanted to do that I couldn't.
When I was 19 I learned there was a chance I could drive. I had to go through a process that took just over 4 years. Then one day in March 2002, when I was 24 I finally was able to go on my own. That was probably the happiest day ever for me. It gave me the freedom to do a lot of things. The company that trained me told me "most people start off slow and it takes them times to become comfortable driving on highways and interstates and that there are those who only drive on surface roads, etc. frick that, once I got my license, I was going everywhere. I was so excited that I felt like I didn't have time to "work my way into driving in certain places". 6 months later I had to go take my van to be looked at and make sure everything was working good, etc. They could't believe how many miles I had driven. They told me there were people who had been driving 6, 7 years that didn't have half the amount of miles as I did.. But yeah, the day I was able to drive on my own was probably my happiest.

I used to say it was the birth of my first son. Now it is without question seeing how my first son embraced our second son right after he was born.

Probably last week. We closed on a house. Nothing super fancy but we saved up for a few years and were able to put 25% down. Now we have something that is "ours" and we're paying less than we were before.
Second would probably be having my granddad at my wedding last year. We lost him in January but that was one of the milestones he always wanted to see for me. I miss him a ton.

The 10 months I was married to my wife before she died unexpectedly and suddenly. Life was full of laughter and genuine affection. Sigh... Miss her.
