My back tire exploded in the middle of fricking Bumfrick Wyoming. Closest tire place was about 200 miles away. Didn’t have my tires so had to leave my car in Wyoming for the weekend and get a rental car. Came back and got it a week later.

Hit a huge pothole Saturday evening in early February right before LSU Ave runs into Stanford. Had to wait until Monday or Tuesday to get it replaced at the dealership (tire protection plan FTW) and did as little I-10 driving as possible.

Still probably did 125+ miles.

I carry tire repair plugs and a small compressor.

Any thing less than a blowout and I’m rolling.

After a hurricane it is a necessity with all of the shite on the roads.

Plugs work fine. All of the bullshite you have heard is just that.

Should’ve just stopped for the night and found a hotel

You put your family’s life’s at risk. I’m happy you made it safely to your destination but things could’ve gone incredibly bad for you.

My Tundra doesn't have a donut.

Last year when I was getting an oil change, asked them to rotate the tires and use the spare.

Owner said, "Do you realize that spare is 17 years old"? "You can put it on but my insurance won't let me".

We had a flat in the middle of a long road trip last night around midnight, and literally everything in the state where we could buy a new tire was closed thanks to our friend COVID.

Where could someone buy a new tire and get it mounted between midnight and 7 am before covid

Went 75 miles on a donut for an Infinity G35 and it was pretty bad shape by the time I got home.
