John Lennon being shot and killed.

My mom had to break down to me who the Beatles were. It’s hard to grasp when you’re 7 years old that they were a band, but they had broken up, but were now all solo artists and one of them was dead

Remember asking my dad while watching election returns how anyone could vote for Carter over Ford. It was incomprehensible to six year old me. Still is all these years later.

Mine is oddly Timothy McVeigh’s execution in June of 2001.

I lived in OKC during the bombing. Frick McVeigh and hope he burns in hell.

Elvis passing.

^This. I was about to turn 5 in a couple of days. I remember my mom crying and putting me and my brother into the car and going to my aunt's(her sister) where they both talked and cried. My first cousin, who was a girl and my age, went outside and was throwing an Elvis frisbee. I remember us both talking about how he was dead.

The fall of the Alamo....wait, that was a movie I saw.
Okay, it was JFK being buried in Arlington. It was in black and white on tv, and I remember the horse-drawn carriage with the coffin. Also, John Kennedy Jr. saluting his father.
